These new rules are the result of extensive consultations with players, coaches, and stakeholders to address key areas that have been identified for improvement. Key Changes: * Two-minute suspensions: Suspensions will now be for two minutes instead of three minutes. This change aims to reduce the impact of minor fouls and create a more fluid game flow. * Penalty Shot: The number of penalty shots awarded for deliberate fouls has been reduced from three to two per game. This is intended to limit excessive interruptions and encourage more fair play. * Throw-ins from the sideline: Throw-ins from the sideline will now be taken from a defined spot on the line, rather than anywhere within nine meters. This change will ensure greater consistency and fairness. * Goalkeeper protection: Goalkeepers will now be protected from contact with attacking players outside the penalty area. This measure aims to increase goalkeeper safety and reduce unnecessary injuries. * Timeouts: The number of timeouts per game has been increased from two to three per team. This change will provide teams with more strategic flexibility and allow for better tactical adjustments. * Video replay: The use of video replay has been expanded to include situations where a goal is scored from a potential offside position or when a penalty shot is awarded. This change will ensure greater accuracy in decision-making.
