Guerrero received the honor in recognition of his “extraordinary musicianship, fearless programming, and unwavering commitment to the community.” Under Guerrero’s leadership, the Nashville Symphony has experienced a resurgence in artistic excellence, becoming one of the most respected orchestras in the United States. He has led the orchestra to critical acclaim for its performances and recordings, and has expanded the symphony’s reach through innovative programming and community outreach initiatives. “I am deeply honored by this recognition,” said Guerrero. “It is a testament to the extraordinary musicians of the Nashville Symphony and the unwavering support of our community. Guerrero’s commitment to education and community engagement has been a hallmark of his time in Nashville.
