Minimum Playing Time for Key Players: To ensure that all teams field their best players, each club will be required to give a minimum of 20 minutes of playing time to their starting goalkeeper and at least 30 minutes to their top scorer and assist leader. Fast Breaks Rewarded: Teams that score on a fast break within 7 seconds of regaining possession will now be awarded 2 points instead of 1. Penalty Distance Extended: The distance from the goal line to the penalty line has been extended from 7 meters to 8 meters. This will make it more challenging for attackers to score from penalties, adding suspense and drama to the matches. 5. Passive Play Violations: Teams that fail to advance the ball past the halfway line within 10 seconds of regaining possession will be penalized with a free throw for the opposing team. This will prevent teams from stalling and force them to play with a greater sense of urgency. 6. Automatic Red Card for Violent Conduct: Any player who commits serious violent conduct, such as head-butting, will be automatically red-carded and suspended for multiple matches. This will protect players from dangerous play and maintain the integrity of the game. 7. 24-Second Shot Clock: To prevent excessive ball holding and encourage dynamic play, a 24-second shot clock has been implemented. Teams will have 24 seconds to take a shot once they have gained possession. 8. VAR Implementation: Video Assistant Referees (VARs) will be used to review controversial decisions involving goals, penalties, and red cards. This will reduce human error and ensure the fair and accurate application of the rules.
